Lavender Hill Farm is located in the scenic, rolling hills of Berrien County in southwest Michigan.  We specialize in growing and selling lavender and our handmade lavender products.

Lavender is an extraordinary plant with a captivating scent, beautiful demeanor, and a multitude of uses.  Best known for its wonderful, calming scent, lavender has been used as an anti-inflammatory, and anti-septic since ancient times. It is also known for its repellency to certain pests, such as mosquitos, moths, etc. But many people are still unaware that lavender is a wonderful addition to many foods. It is increasingly being used in both sweet and savory dishes as well as alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks!  Come to our shop to find out more about the many ways of using lavender in cooking.

With over 3500 lavender plants, of eight varieties, we have lavender in bloom from mid-June till mid-July.  Please join us during during lavender bloom time and enjoy the enchanting scent in a glorious setting. Our farm shop is open as noted on our calendar on this site or by appointment, from March thru mid- December.  Check out our event calendar for days and hours.

In addition to the lavender, we raise sheep, honeybees, and we also have a few aracuna chickens with hopes of green eggs in the future.

Our farming philosophy is to grow things using minimal inorganic chemical inputs, using natural means for fertilizing, pest and weed control as much as possible.   We are also working on ecological restoration projects on our 30 acre farm. A 2.25 acre native wildflower and grass planting and restoration is in the works to help create and preserve native pollinator habitat which is so important for our food supply. We are continually learning and trying new things to help make the environment better for all.
